Initiate
The DSP initiates their service request (Verified MSISDN, KYC Match or ATP) with the serving operator.
Permission
Either the DSP or the operator acquires user consent for the service request.
Match
The operator retrieves user/network/device data and performs matching (as required).
Confirm
The operator shares the data and/or match indicator with the DSP.

Prevent account takeover
Jason is shopping online for a present. When he checks out, the merchant redirects the payment request to the bank. Since the amount exceeds the bank's usual threshold, they run a further check: sending a background Mobile Connect request to check for fraud signals. The customer's operator checks that Jason's SIM has not been swapped recently and that he's in his usual country. They send a confidence score back to the bank, indicating that the signals are normal. The bank is now confident that Jason is who he says he is, and approves the transaction.
