A world of opportunity

Mobile Connect lends itself to multiple application areas. We have defined three discrete solution categories: Authentication, Authorisation and Identity.

Mobile Connect Authentication offers a simple and globally ubiquitous log-in mechanism.

Authentication is provided by the operator to the website with no personal information being shared without the consumer's permission.

Mobile Connect Authenticate and Authenticate Plus

Mobile Connect Authenticate offers single factor level of assurance (LoA2) by requiring the operator, on receiving a Mobile Connect API request from an application, to confirm that the end user is in possession of their mobile phone. Mobile Authenticate Plus offers two-factor level of assurance (LoA3) by requiring the end user to confirm they are in possession of their mobile phone and also enter a secret PIN when prompted to do so.

Mobile Connect Authorisation offers contextual authentication with a Yes/No option for users to authorise requests on their mobile phone.

Mobile Connect Authorise and Authorise Plus

Mobile Connect Authorise allows the end user to authorise any request from a service provider directly from their mobile phone. The service provider provides details specific to their request in the Mobile Connect API, which is displayed on the user’s mobile phone. The user approves or rejects the request, which is relayed to the service provider in the API response.

Mobile Connect Authorise Plus works in the same way, but in addition, requires the end user to authenticate first by entering the Mobile Connect PIN prior to authorising the request.
